On Saturday, February 26, Leadership Butler County hosted a Mardi Gras party at The Atrium. There were over 150 guests in attendance. Many of them opted to wear colorful beads and masks. The festive menu included jambalaya, shrimp cocktail, crab cakes, bacon wrapped shrimp, cajun chicken wings, braised short ribs, etc. There was a wide variety of silent auctions items which ranged from sports memorabilia to spa packages. The event raised $7,100 which will be donated to the CYS Duffle Bag Project. At this point, the Leadership Butler County Class of 2011 has raised approximately $23,00 towards the project. Event sponsors included The Atrium, Wedding Solutions LLC, and Dutton’s Beer Distributor.
